Finding A Voice

February 12th, 2007 by Court

In order for you to be successful with the internet, you need to have readers. To have readers, you need to have a voice. In other words YOU HAVE TO KNOW SOMETHING. If you don’t know anything, no one is going to care about what you say. They definitely won’t come back for more.

Step 1: Figure out what you know. What are you good at? What topics do you know about? People make money blogging about all kinds of crazy things, and if you know a lot about a subject you will find interested readers.

Step 2: Start Writing. If you’re not a writer, you better become one. Right now you may be feeling FEAR. People are afraid of writing. If you’re afraid, you have two choices. You can either learn something new or you can give up. If you give up I honestly don’t know how you’ll find success with anything. No matter what you try to do you in this world, you will have to overcome fear to be a success.

Step 3: BE OPINIONATED. You have to tell people what you think. Focus on what you think! You need to develop opinions about your subject. A little controversial talk might be a great thing for your blog.
