Are You Ready For Sponsored Posting?

Whether we like it or not, sponsored posting has become a legitimate way to make money online. I’ve seen quite a few blogs that write a few sponsored posts everyday - they don’t even bother with Google Adsense. The truth is that they make more money this way. I think it’s pretty interesting; right now advertisers seems to be willing to pay a premium for sponsored posts.
If you’re a new blogger, you need to get ready for sponsored posting right now, or you won’t be able to do it effectively when the time is right. If you’re an experienced blogger, improving your site in key areas can open the doors to more lucrative opportunities. Let’s take a look at some of the opportunities that are available at PayPerPost.com right now:
The left hand column show the sites that are willing to pay you to write about them. The second column is the amount that they’re willing to pay you. The third column is showing you what type of post they want, and the fourth is showing you how many words they require - the amount of words you would need to write. It looks like there is one offer that is 200 words, three that are 100 words, and 1 that is 50 words. If you click on the sites’ blue links, you will see what the requirements are to write the offer:
You can see that this particular offer, which pays $12 for a 100 word post, requires that you have a Google Page Rank of at least 3. This particular advertiser doesn’t care about your Alexa score or your Technorati ranking.
Some offers will pay a lot more if your site can meet more stringent requirements:
This particular opportunity, which pays $135 for a 200 word post, requires that you have a Google PageRank of at least 5 and an Alexa score better than 9,999. Remember that with Alexa, better means lower. When was the last time you made $135 in a day with your Adsense?
ReviewMe and other paid-post brokers will have similar requirements. So that raises the question, what can you do to get ready for sponsored posting? As I have already mentioned there are 3 primary criteria that you need to work on if you want to take advantage of the best offers:
- Google PageRank
- Alexa Score
- Technorati Ranking
Google PageRank is calculated by the amount of links that are pointing at your site from other sites. In order to get a higher PageRank, you have to get more links from other sites. If you would like some tips on increasing your PageRank, here are a few articles that can help you out:
Alexa score is calculated by evaluating the amount of traffic your site gets and comparing it with other sites. If you’re Alexa score was 1, you would be the highest ranked site in the world, according to Alexa. In order to get a better Alexa ranking, you simply have to get more traffic. PageRank and links have nothing to do with bettering your Alexa ranking except that they usually lead you to increased traffic. Here are some articles that can help you to increase your traffic:
Technorati Ranking is the easiest to improve and helps you with the other two. You can increase your Technorati ranking in a hurry, here is a recent article of mine that can help you with this:
You Have Less Than Three Months To Prepare
If you started your site today, you have 3 months until you can write sponsored posts, at least through PayPerPost.com. ReviewMe will also probably take around three months because they seem to require you to have PageRank to get accepted into their program. PageRank is updated once every 3 months, on average.

Hi, Court,
I am at a loss now.I just found out that we are required to have add an American account to Paypal in order to accept payment from PayPerPost.
I do not have an American account !
I have already applied for an etrade platinum debit card, but it needs a bit of time.. about 1 month to reach me.With this card, I can withdraw my money from Malaysia.
I have unclaimed payments in Paypal and they must be claimed within 30 days !! Or.. else they will be sent back to PPP.
That means if I do not get my debt card by 10th June, I may lose my payments !! Hey… I worked hard to earn the money..I feel like crying now..Court.

There are paid to post sites that don’t require PR4, that’s why new sites like mine (1 month old only) and munny4hunny are blogging for money as well.

This looks like a good idea but im sure there must be a better way of rating your blog to qualify for payperpost. I may look inti this When i get a better pr but i wouldnt liek to see this take over entertaing homegrown posts

This is a vague question, but what do you think is a decent income for making money on a daily or weekly business doing pay per post. I know the better your page rank is then the more opportunities you have, but let’s say even a 3 or 4 page rank. Thanks.

I’m in the process of looking to hire an SEO firm to optimise my website so that i can sell more of my products online. I also would likee a stronger presence in the search engines then at present.
