Technorati Ranks Us No More
May 23rd, 2007 by CourtUpdate: Technorati is showing rankings again! It looks like I’ve crept over 17,000. As long as they keep showing rankings I will stick with the original goal of hitting 5,000 by month’s end. You can read the post anyway if you want, but the content is now outdated! Thanks Theda for pointing this out!
I just spent almost 2 hours looking through Technorati to find my rankings. As most of you know, I have a goal to break into the Top 5000 by the end of the month. The last time I checked I was barely under 17,000.
I tried every way I could think of to check my ranking, and it just plain isn’t there any more! It seems that Technorati is only going to be using authority only to rate blogs from now on. Authority seems to still be the number of unique blogs that have linked to you.
I guess this means that companies like PayPerPost, ReviewMe, and others will have to change the way they determine our blogs’ values. I’m sure they will just change to use Technorati blog authority instead of ranking.
Since I can no longer find my Technorati ranking, I’m going to have to alter my goal for the end of the month! My new goal is to raise my Technorati authority to 350 by month’s end. Right now I’m at 237, so I have to get 113 blogs to link to me by the end of the month.
Wish me luck!

Good luck Court. I’m sure hitting authority 350 by month’s end is no problem for you.

Court,
I happened to be looking for your rankings today too (what a weird coincidence, huh?)
It’s at http://technorati.com/search/http://www.courtneytuttle.com
Hope this helps! You’re at 238 last I checked, and 17,100.
Good luck for your goals!

If you go to “edit” your profile and click on “blogs” you’ll see your blog’s rank which means it’s still there..

Hi,Court,
It seems that I have to work hard now to increase, not to decrease the ranking.

Hey Court,
Just an update for you. Technorati has started showing the rankings again next to your site info. I’ll bet enough people complained that they put it back!
