Let Me Introduce To You… PPP Direct!

May 24th, 2007 by Court

Right now I am freaking stoked! PayPerPost has launched a new service that’s going to make our ‘make money blogging‘ lives a lot easier and more lucrative.

PPP Direct was just launched and will change the way online reviews work. Most of you are probably familiar with ReviewMe, which is a popular service that helps advertisers to find blogs who will write sponsored reviews.

How PPP Direct Is Different Than ReviewMe
ReviewMe marks the price of the review up 100%. As a blogger, if you get paid $100 for a review, ReviewMe will also take $100. The advertiser would have to pay $200. If you charged $200 for a review through PPP Direct, you would make $180, which is 90% of the profit. PayPerPost is only going to take 10% of your profit. Since they will be processing the money for you, this is within reason.

A Marketplace Is On Its Way
Critics of PPP Direct have stated that it won’t work properly because there is no marketplace for advertisers to find bloggers. They should have dug a little deeper, because Ted Murphy, founder and CEO of PayPerPost has already stated that the marketplace is on its way. You can read the details of this statement in an interview with Andy Beard.

As soon as the marketplace is there, I would be willing to bet that it will be much larger and better than the marketplaces of its competitors. Until then, you might as well get paid more for reviews from advertisers that find your site.

Sorry critics, you’re wrong on this one. This service is great for bloggers.

Sounds like a great idea. It’s a win win situation. Advertisers spend less and bloggers make more money. What’s not to like about it?

I would definitely agree! Both John Chow and Kumiko Suzuki don’t think it’s going to work because there is no publisher marketplace that shows off blogs.

They totally missed that the marketplace is on the way!

I went to Kumiko’s blog, there is a heated debate there…;D

I advocate opportunities that bring me money…even if I may face the possibilty of being looked down by a lot of people.
