Make Money Online w/ An SEO’d Theme
June 20th, 2007 by CourtCould the new, search engine optimized version of my WordPress theme be the reason why I suddently moved up from page 75 to page 4 of Google for the keyword ‘make money online’? The jump in my ranking came within days of my SEO tweaking so it was definitely one of the factors.
Since writing ‘Common SEO Problems In WordPress Themes‘ I have tweaked and optimized 6 themes, which you can find on this page: Search Engine Optimized WordPress Themes.
Since many of you have already made changes to your theme, I have helped you by doing custom SEO work on your themes. I would like to open up that line of help to more of you.
I’ll Tweak Your Theme For Free
So here’s the deal of a lifetime. I will do an SEO tweak of your WordPress theme in exchange for a link in your footer. You will be able to email me your theme, I’ll optimize it and email it back. This way you can save the changes you’ve already made to it.

lol, it’s okay, I’m just curious if I was the only one finding your blog in position 31 or not. You said you were on the front page, but I was getting a much different result, even after trying the search on different days. I’m in the U.S. for what it’s worth.

I wish it was page 1! I actually said page 4 though, well at least for ‘make money online’. I think I might have said somewhere that I’m on page 1 for ‘make money online free’, which I am.

i’m thinking to change themes, and your post just came in the right time.
Court, i love the ‘ilovemusic’ themed that you have tweaked, but i don’t like pink. i can change those colors and headers image from the codes, am i right?

Hi Jenny! Yes, you can change the colors as much as you want. If there is a different theme that you would rather use, let me know. I’ll give it an SEO tweak for you.

What a great idea Court! Last weekend, I hacked at my Cutline theme by using your suggestions. I broke the theme a few times, but eventually I got it working again..lol I’m waiting to see how/if my SERPS change. If they don’t, I’ll be giving you a shout!
