It's such a frustrating thing when you can't think of what to write about, usually I find it helps if you have a break for a while then come back to it.

Excellent trick Court. What I do is, as I'm writing a post, if another topic pops in my head, I'll open a new window, create a new post and briefly right about the topic so that I can come back later and write a post about it.

I often find that when I am writing an article, ideas for future posts come to mind.

I write these ideas down and save them to my blogging folder so when I am lost for inspiration I can load up the file and find a subject to write about.

Yeah, I've had a bit of writers block this week. Seems to hit me every couple of weeks. My thing is to just take a break, write some shorter posts to keep things going, and get reading other things for more ideas!

I have a similar approach at fighting writer's block. Sometimes I do the same things as you and just surf the net. Other times I might go outside for a bit or do something else and usually something just comes to me.

When I have a case of writers block, it try to take my mind off of writing completely.

Forcing yourself to write will never produce meaningful content.

Instead, I go read other blogs, comment, have a chat in a discussion forum.

Within a few hours (or minutes) of doing this I generally find a subject that requires a post...
