When I started replacing this colour in the stylesheet it appears that the blog title and the post titles will take the whatever color you assign to the "links". Believe it or not, that usually happens when there is an image in your post that is too large! When I learned WordPress that actually happened to me and I figured out that there was a wide image that was pushing the columns down. Let me know if that isn't it and I'll help you to figure it out!
