5 Niched-Out Keywords For Lazy Alexa Boosting

August 28th, 2007 by Court

Today I thought it would be fun to post some keywords that should be super easy to target. I’m always finding interesting ones so I’ve posted some freebies for everyone. There is no theme here, the keywords cover some pretty random niches. ;)

Get Rich Fast

The top ranked page in Google for ‘get rich fast’ only has a PageRank of 2 and is a forum page that doesn’t have ‘get rich fast’ in the URL, <h1>, or <h2>. There are only 34,000 pages in Google that have the exact term (compare that to over 2,000,000 for ‘make money online’) despite having over 30,000 searches per month between the major search engines.

Rosies Blog

These people are obviously searching for the blog of Rosie O’Donnell. This kind of thing is where you could get a serious amount of searches each day by creating an Anti-Blog or a Fan-Blog. Getting ranked #1 isn’t likely, but getting ranked #2 for keywords like this one is much easier than it would be for more competitive terms. This keyword is searched for about 40,000 times per month between the major players.

An exact search for “rosies blog” returns only 2,560 pages and an exact search for “rosie’s blog” (the grammatically correct version) returns only 32,600. “Rosie’s blog” is searched for even more often.

Free Blog Template

This keyword might be interesting for the ‘make money onlinerz’ out there. Out of the top 10 Google-ranked pages, only 2 have ‘free blog template’ in the HTML title tag. An exact search in Google returns only 15,300 results, despite generating in excess of 5,000 searches per month between the major engines.

If you want to take full advantage of this keyword, I would put some templates (themes) together for Blogger and WordPress. If you do this, you will deserve to place some links in them. Get ranked for the keyword and you will generate a lot of backlinks for your site.

Play Driving Games

Doing an exact search in Google for ‘play driving games’ will return only 11,300 results. Doing a regular Google search will return exactly zero pages that have the exact phrase in the HTML title. Eight of the ten that come back on the first page don’t even have all three words in the HTML title. The keyword is searched for more than 30,000 times per month between the major search engines.

The page that comes up first for this search doesn’t even have the keyword anywhere on the page. Go figure.

Halo 3 Reviews

This keyword is only going to get bigger, even though it’s already searched for over 10,000 times per month. Most of the sites in the top 10 barely have any content on them. Only three of the top 10 have the keyword ‘halo 3 reviews’ in the HTML title tag. As soon as this game gets released, the search volume will go crazy.

A specific search in Google returns 29,800 pages, however, it appears that most of them don’t know what they’re doing. A user that searches for this term will likely look at quite a few of the search results. If you have a blog or site that has anything to do with electronics, I would definitely recommend reviewing the game.

Finding Niche Keywords Can Increase Traffic Significantly

I would always be looking for keywords in your niche. While searching today, I found quite a few that I can use to get traffic to my site, which is one of the primary methods I’ve used to improve my Alexa ranking.

I figured out something i didn’t know today about keyword research thanks to this article. It was something very simple but valuable. I won’t state it for fear of being made fun of!

Haha well I’m glad you learned something new. I probably didn’t learn it that long ago so don’t worry about it. ;)

Thanks for the very helpful tips. Did you just find this out by searching in Google etc and then having a look at the sites that are listed? Surely this takes quite a while if so?

I found them by first searching in Wordtracker, and then checking the page in Google. Here’s a Wordtracker lesson from waaaaaaaay back when my site was just a baby:

Haha, very lazy methods indeed! I might try it out sometime, although I’m not too partial to going off-topic on my Blog, but I just might try it. Either way, great tips Court!
