How To Get Almost Any Paid Internet Marketing Program For Free
September 11th, 2007 by CourtMany of you already know that I don’t think that ‘make money online’ blogs are for everyone. They are harder to monetize, and the competition is much stiffer than it is in many other niches. Even though this is the case, there are definitely some advantages to creating this type of blog, even if it isn’t your primary site.
Getting Products For Free
One huge advantage in having an internet marketing blog that gets traffic is that you can use it to get free access to many paid internet marketing programs. Here are some of the different types of paid products I’ve been able to gain free access to:
- Ebooks
- Paid Membership SEO Sites
- Paid Keyword Research Tools
- Website Builders
- E-Commerce Platforms
- Online Photo Editing Software
The possibilities are endless here. If you have a ‘make money online’ blog that gets traffic, you can get access to almost any paid program for free. Why? If your blog is read by people that are trying to make money with the internet, you are an avenue for these types of sites to sell more products, ebooks, and memberships. Your ability to get products for free will depend 100% on whether you believe that you deserve them or not.
Methods I Have Used To Get Products For Free
- Asking people that ask you for plugs – Since I have a make money online blog that gets traffic, I have people asking me every week to plug their online products and services. I could very easily say no to most of them, but instead I tell them to send me a login to their site – or if it’s a product I tell them to send it to me. 99% of the time they do! Attitude is key here – I think they probably send me free access because I act like I deserve it. If you have a make money online or internet marketing blog, you probably deserve it too.
- PayPerPost – If you review an internet marketing product or website in PayPerPost, they will almost always give you an account that you can use to test with. This technique rocks because you will also get paid to test the product or site.
- ReviewMe – This one is the same basic concept as the PayPerPost method, except there are more high end products and sites you can gain access to in ReviewMe.
- Asking people directly – I have been able to get memberships and products quite a few times by emailing the owners directly. I tell them what kind of traffic I have, and how many RSS subscribers I have and tell them that I would love to review their product. I’m going to be doing this to get a few books that I want to read in the next few weeks. Any relevant author in their right mind would send me a free book. A review will surely sell some copies.

What are the books you trying to get for free?

After I wrote the post yesterday I requested “The 4-Hour Workweek.” I’ve been wanting to read it for a while now. It’s on its way.

These tactics are very sneaky yet quite obvious. How else can you review something if you don’t get to experience it firsthand? This is definitely a fringe benefit of blogging.

Hi Neena! On this site I make it a point to not review anything I haven’t experienced firsthand.
However on different types of sites I know that it can be necessary at times. One trick I’ve used is reviewing the features and specs of a product instead of the product itself.

There is a lot of wisdom in just asking people. So many sites just sit there waiting for things to happen. Sometimes, you just have to make it happen yourself. I think 90% of anything good to happen for a site, is the author making it happen themselves:)

I definitely agree with that Bobby! I probably never would have been approached about reviewing “The 4-Hour Workweek,” but they’re sending me a copy since I asked.
The fact of the matter is that there are always going to be a lot of people that don’t know about you no matter who you are.

Writing ebook and submitting them for people to read for free is a good way to make some extra cash and get traffic.

So true! I’m actually working on a few projects myself. Watch for them in the next few months.
