It doesn't tell you anything. I have a site that went from a 4 to a 1 a year ago for absolutely no reason but then my traffic from Google increased. It since jumped to a 3. I also see sites with a 1 getting more traffic than sites with a 5. I wouldn't have removed any paid links or implement the nofollow links. It's your site.
