Thanks for the answer Court!

If I swap links with someone, should I link back to the same page where they link to me, or is it better to link to somewhere else on their page (like maybe the frontpage). Or doesn't it matter?

Nice catchy title. I agree that most people don't spend as much time as they should on link building and that is probably why they aren't as successful as some of the bigger names. I think that I should concentrate a little bit more on building links to my site as well... thanks for the eye opener!

Hi David,

I agree with Court, contact support at Art Mrktr

I use Article Marketer and have never been happier, I show tons of links with Yahoo, a lot less with Google but that's normal for Google for every article, so something must have wrong.
With article marketer you get reports that show all sites that your article was distributed to and whenever I submit many of the sites send me confirm emails, did you get those? Check with support!!

Hi MelB,

In my mind Article Marketing is dead, but that may just be a relative measurement. I guess I have developed a different set of standards than you or the other readers here so I won't try to force anyone to believe me.

To answer your question, I use any and all social networking sites. Not news sites, those links roll out of rotation... I'm talking about the long, long list of websites that pay you to add content to them. -They do it in many ways, but most of them have a system called 'Revenue sharing.'

It's the difference between MySpace and Yuwie. -Don't waste your time building content and backlinks at MySpace because they don't pay you... But Yuwie.com pays you for every page view, and their link juice is just as good!

This way you get paid to do article marketing... But your links count more than they would in any directory, because web 2.0 is LOVED by Google.

I can take one or two paragraphs (not even whole articles) and place them in dozens of different sites like Squidoo, HubPages, the Blurbosphere, Yuwie, etc. If I have whole articles, there are more places, such as AssociatedContent.com and Thisisby.Us that will pay me cash for them. If I have Reviews, either in text format or video, there are tons of Other places that pay cash for those and/or in residuals like ePinions, ExpoTV, and Ciao.co.uk.

The point is that no matter what you're promoting, Web 2.0 allows you to:

1. Do it faster & more TARGETED than a stupid article that no one wants to read...

2. PAYS you either up-front or in residuals for a Revenue Share to do it too.

3. Put it RIGHT UNDER Big G's NOSE... Google LOVES these sites and feels that the article directories are nothing more than spam farms.

I'll admit that I can't submit hundreds in one day, but I also don't have to... These links count very highly in google's rankings... One time I made a Squidoo site with 3 paragraphs of content in it for a 4-word KW Phrase and within 2 hours I was #1 in Google... With NO Backlinks!

Google constantly spiders these sites and you can pretty much guarantee that 100% of them make it into the GoogDB... How high up still depends on your competition & # of backlinks of course, but as you can see, it's possible to grab #1 instantly.

I wish I had some solid numbers for you, but I've never measured them like that. Perhaps Mr. Parker does on his site somewhere, I've just grabbed onto his formula and never looked back. -Too much success to stop and count my money yet. :)

Hope that gives you some ideas!
