Court,
You have a winner on your hands here. I knew a lot of what you were talking about, but after listening to you for 10 minutes, I was convinced I am on the right path. There are hundreds of ways to make money with this, but it all starts with content and the blog. The making money part you can learn. The passion and the content is much harder to learn, but I bet we ALL have the passion and the content.
Thanks for the series. I am already waiting for the second one….

Nice introductory Video. This Video reminds me of your old blog design, I really liked the old design. It was unique in many ways. And one of the reasons I got attracted to your blog.
The new design, though nice, looks more generic, and I am not very fond of it. the designers who made this template (UBD), designs all their blogs the same way, and your eyes starts getting used to the design layer and starts being a drag.
Is there any way you could possibly share the old blog theme?

This promises to be a great series. I think a lot of people who are already blogging would like to make money with their blog. Most bloggers really like blogging, so what better than making money doing something your like.
I’m glad you’re focusing on blogging for profit, because I think many bloggers are going to benefit from this series. Keep ‘em coming!

Love the video format and I’m so glad you’re using it to lead us by the hand.
I’ll be interested to see if you tie your Keyword Sniping concept in with this new video series. I’d like to learn more about Sniping, especially the exact criteria you use to select keywords for sniping.
Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you help us…thanks.

I’m excited to see the rest of this video series, especially once it gets further on (out of repetition of things you’ve already posted about).
I’m sure this will turn out to be an incredibly useful resource for bloggers.

Great video! It’s so important to blog about something you love and will with. Look forward to more in the near future!
A bit off topic, but what screen recording software are you using?
June 26th, 2008 at 10:25 pm
And what plugin are you using to embed the video into a post?
June 27th, 2008 at 12:08 am
@ B. Durant - I’m actually using Camtasia Studio 5 to record the screen
@DR - I actually am not using a plugin for that, I’m just using HTML to embed the vid into the post.

Great starting video and I look forward to your series. I thought it was cool you mentioned your post about Ways for Kids to Make Money.
My blog is about teaching kids about money.

This blog is consistently the BEST source of information. If you’re a beginner, you need to know this. If you’re not a beginner, you need to be reminded of this stuff!!!
Thanks Court!!! You are indeed, the BEST!

Could you help me with making videos. What software did you use for this video? What video camera do you use to make videos? Do you use an editing software?
I’m off to look at Mac today.
Thanks,
June 27th, 2008 at 11:14 am
Mark I used Camtasia Studio 5 to make the video, and I didn’t edit at all. You can edit with Camtasia though. I didn’t use a camera, this software captures what’s on your screen.

Excellent video and information, I enjoy watching how a Pro like you think and work. I will keep on coming for more. I am new to blogging but your tips and advise make it so much easy to understand.
P.S would you be concentrating on WordPress or Blogger? Or the knowledge you will teach us will not make any difference on which one you use.
Regards

Thanks Court for this video series. Looks like it’s off to a great start. Although I’ve built several static sites using WordPress, I’ve been wanting to do a true blog for awhile now. Now, you’ve got me inspired to do it!

Great post and super video

Court,
In this first video you mentioned that you have Firefox tweaked so that nofollow links have a pink background behind them. Can you tell us which firefox add-on you’re using to accomplish this? Also, I saw that most of your navigation links are nofollow (based on the pink backgrounds). What is the benefit of nofollow navigation links? I’m looking forward to the rest of the vids in this series. -jim

I love your video training! Nice looking site too!
Trying to learn as much as possible on niche blogs. It’s a whole universe of learning.

I just found your site, and it’s got me really excited! As soon as I read some of your info I called my daughter-in-law and said “you have to check this site out” she’s a stay at home mom looking for something to do to make some extra money, now she’s as excited as I am and telling her friends! The video is very informative, it’s a great way to communicate this type of information (currently I’m in a video production program in Daytona so I know I’ll be using it too.) Where can I find the rest of your series? Can’t wait to see them! Thank you very much. Raymond
