Starting A Blog And Topic Selection Followup
June 30th, 2008 by CourtIn 30 short pages my ebook shows you exactly how to set up a low-maintenance income online using free traffic from Google. You'll learn:
- How to discover keyword sets where the traffic potential is high but the competition is limited.
- How to set up quick, easy, search-engine friendly websites with no programming knowledge whatsoever.
- How to build those websites around high-paying keywords that will give you your first passive online income.
The ebook is free, but there is a catch - you have to actually download it, read it, and implement what it teaches. I'm not giving you this book for intellectual stimulation; I'm giving it to you so you can make money. Hundreds of my readers have used these principles to either create or increase their online income. You can do the same.
Just fill out the easy form below you'll be redirected to the download page. As a bonus I'll follow up with an email mini-course that outlines some of my biggest successes, failures, and key insights I've gained over the years as a full-time internet marketer. I'll send you the first installment right away. And don't worry - all you'll ever get from me is value-packed content. I'll never share, rent, or sell your personal information. Enjoy...and thanks for visiting!

Hey Court,
That answers my question about the difference between blogging and keyword sniping. Thanks. I’m wondering what the main income generation method will be with blogging? Seems like banner advertising or selling your own services would be most profitable as opposed to say Adsense for keyword sniping.

I anxiously await your entire series. I discovered the awesomeness of blogs and niche marketing quite by accident 5 years ago when I was working with Andy Beal at marketsmart. I happened to write a blog article about hacking the xbox, and using an inclusive pinglist I achieved many number one positions for xbox related terms, I passed on the information to my managers and never really followed through, instead I focused on web, graphic and software design. It seems that now I have a few years to catch up on and this video series seems to be exactly what I need to skip months of futile experimentation.

P.S. How would I go about getting a review for the software I linked in the link section of this comment? I am in beta for the Ultimate Link Building Toolkit I am developing lately.

Thanks for the great videos!
I have a question:
I’m starting a site on which I would like to offer several free downloadable PDF files, but before they download I want to capture their email address to build a mailing list. I’ve heard of aweber, but have never done this before. Is there a free way to do this with wordpress? What would you recommend?

When looking for a profitable topic you need two things…
A topic people are ALREADY interested in AND a topic people are ALREADY spending money in.
Forget about finding the magic undiscovered niche. I like to go after big niches with lots of competition, but look for something within the niche SPECIFIC to focus on. Even a small part of a BIG niche can be quite profitable.

Hi,
Will you be doing a video concetrating on backlinks? This is the part I find hardest, getting people to link to you.
My blog is new so doesn’t get any traffic really, I think it is still sandboxed maybe, but how am I meant to get links back if no-one knows about it? Kinda like employers only wanting experience and you ask, well how can I get experience when no-one will give me a chance? In this case how am I meant to get links back when my site has no exposure via the search engines? Patience?
Would love a video on this.

Courtney,
These videos are the best! What I particularly like is the length. I would think it would make the videos easier to search through also. Really well done. Thanks so much.

Hi Courtney.
I know this is off topic, but I need your help.
What is the easiest way to put a photo on a wordpress post. When I try to use the insert photo button on wp I keep getting an error message.
Hope you can help
Thanks for the videos, i’m looking forward to the rest of the series.
All the best - John

Hey Court,
I just noticed today that the Google Adwords KW Tool shows Approx KW Search Volume for the previous month and Approx Avg Search Volume for the last 12 months. Do you think we can also use this new information to determine the profitability of a KW?
Check it out and let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Sal

Hey Court,
In the video, you briefly get into the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. I am very confused about the results, as in no way do they reflect the results of the keyword tools that we use (wordze, wordtracker). Sometimes the numbers are way higher, sometimes way lower? Would you be able to enlighten me on that please? Thanks.

RJ,
As to your link problem, do a search here on court’s blog there was a post on link building and using article marketer to get internal links to inner pages of your blog.
Also, write up a press release about your blog and submit it to prweb.com this will get you some back links as well.
Hope this helps you out.

Great videos! I feel like I am with you watching over your shoulder. Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to put this series together for us! Is there a numbered or dated list somewhere of all the videos so that I can make certain that I watch them in the correct order and I don’t miss one! I watched how to register my domain name BEFORE I knew how to choose it! Ha! Ha! Thanks so much!

How do you find content on a topic that you have a passion for but do not know much about (meaning not a specialist)? You know about it but not enough to have a lot a content to publish. In addition, you have the desire to learn the topic to help others. How would I go about writing content about my topic….
Example:
Market is Entertainment but the
Niche is A Recording Studio, from setting up a studio to the final stages…..
