Thanks Court - most wordpress plugins have poor documentation and it’s nice to know I was using this one properly. More than can be said for some of the others I use!!!!!

Nice to have it in a video format for those who maybe unsure. People should def check that post out if they have questions as they have probably been answered in that post.

I’ve noticed that the Google snippet does not show the meta description when using all in one seo plugin. Rather it seems to take text from the first couple of lines of the post, or worse, one of the sidebars. Are you having this problem? Is there a solution?

Thanks for the vid. I was a bit surprised you unchecked the checkboxes for categories and archives.
I was told to check those in order to prevent dupplicate content (something to do with Google’s supplemental index …).

Could you explain?

Thanks again for the tips on how to configure this plugin - I finally got round to installing it and configuring it on a Wordpress blog, withot the tips it would have been impossible to know which boxes to tick etc…

I like the All-In-One-SEO plugin and use it on all of my blogs. It really makes seo much easier for blogging, almost a no brainer once the plugin is installed and setup.

Wordpress has been updated since this video was produced. Could you advise me regarding the on the configuration check box titled “Dynamically generate key words for posts page”. I checked and unchecked all the other boxes demonstrated in the video, but I’m not sure if this is something that I should leave checked or not?

I installed ‘all in one seo’ using filezilla. There was a section on my site that told me that I could download a plugin and ’seo’ was listed there. Could I have downloaded it directly from the site, without using filezilla ?

I ask this because try as I might I have not been able to download one of Court’s themes using filezilla.

Anyway, I went into configuration and in the ‘post title format’ box I put
%’post_ title’% ¦ %’blog_title’%, and filled out all of the other boxes as shown on the video and I updated.

Now however when I press on the ‘Hello World’ blog key, in the top blue bar comes exactly what I typed %’post_ title’% ¦ %’blog_title’% and not the title of my post (hello world) and my keywords (central vacuum).

I hope that I am explaining my difficulties clearly. I am going to carry on with my blogs and see if someone can help me sort this out. I just hope that I won’t have to wipe everything in order to start again.

I added this plugin and followed the instructions in the video. Here is my question-

What is All-in-One SEO actually *doing*?

Here is why I ask. I filled in the fields per the video- including the Home Title. I enabled the plugin and checked the site, but it still had the normal title from Wordpress General Settings.

I watched the rest of the video and saw where Court demonstrates that he wanted to change the title that displays in the title bar- so he went and modified the title in the Wordpress General Settings.

I already had that without the plugin. So- if I am making the title changes in the Wordpress General Settings to modify what shows up in the title bar after post and page titles - what is the All-in-One SEO plugin doing for me?

Dear Court - you are the man! I downloaded your eBook about 2 weeks ago, went through thousands of keywords, went through the first eleven videos, picked my topic, ordered my domain name, got the domain hosted on Host Gator, and have the bare bones WP theme running. I’m looking for the next step.

Where are the 39+ other videos that come after this one? I cannot find them.
