Money Always Flows to the Solution
September 17th, 2008 by MarkIn 30 short pages my ebook shows you exactly how to set up a low-maintenance income online using free traffic from Google. You'll learn:
- How to discover keyword sets where the traffic potential is high but the competition is limited.
- How to set up quick, easy, search-engine friendly websites with no programming knowledge whatsoever.
- How to build those websites around high-paying keywords that will give you your first passive online income.
The ebook is free, but there is a catch - you have to actually download it, read it, and implement what it teaches. I'm not giving you this book for intellectual stimulation; I'm giving it to you so you can make money. Hundreds of my readers have used these principles to either create or increase their online income. You can do the same.
Just fill out the easy form below you'll be redirected to the download page. As a bonus I'll follow up with an email mini-course that outlines some of my biggest successes, failures, and key insights I've gained over the years as a full-time internet marketer. I'll send you the first installment right away. And don't worry - all you'll ever get from me is value-packed content. I'll never share, rent, or sell your personal information. Enjoy...and thanks for visiting!
What problem does your website solve for its users?
Does the answer to that question fly off your lips? Did you have to think about it? Can you answer it even after thinking about it?
How about this - fill in the blanks in the following statement:
“I give my users _________ and I get ________ in return.”
Am I overstating things if I say the key to success with any website is found in those two blanks?
A couple of examples…
On my ecommerce site: “I give my users a variety of trailer hitch accessories and I get money in return.”
On my wife’s personal blog, she would say: “I give my friends and family updates on my life (and about eight million pictures of our 11 month old son) and I get a feeling of connection and happiness in return.
On CourtneyTuttle.com: “We give people simple insights into how they can get traffic from the search engines and we get coaching clients, membership website subscribers (until recently
) and joint venture offers from other businesses in return.
If you don’t have a written plan for your site, you should at the very least be able to make a clear “I give this and I get that in return.” statement. If you don’t have that mantra in your head every day, how can you expect your business to progress?
I don’t do a lot of blog reading, but often I’ll click through to sites I find in comments here on the site. I’ll read a post or two, and all too often I find myself saying “What’s your point?” On most of the sites I visit I don’t see any clear message of “The author is giving me this, and hoping to get that in exchange.”
Now you might not care if your users/readers see an obvious “give and receive” message on your blog, but think about this: In the last 30 days, I have spent over $5,000 just on information. The crazy thing is I’m GLAD I’ve just shelled out five grand for knowledge, because I know I’ve purchased some really high ROI solutions to a few of the problems we face in our business.
If you want to make money, you have to be the provider of a solution for which a large enough group of people is willing to pay.
I don’t think that sentence reads very smoothly, but I’m leaving it alone. Go back over it a couple times and let it sink in.
What problem (faced by a large enough group of people) does your presence on the web solve?
Your primary goal, maybe even your obsession, should be to answer that question.
If you can’t fire off the answer, stop whatever else you’re doing and start figuring it out. Our experience at Court’s Internet Marketing School is the earning power of a site really takes off after a) the author discovers what problem he/she can solve for the audience, and b) the audience agrees.
Let’s Brainstorm Together
Maybe we can help you get started today by going through a little exercise in the comments section. Here’s how it will work: anyone who feels like they have a clearly defined “I give this and receive that in exchange” statement, please leave it in the comments. It’s some free advertising and a branding opportunity for your site.
For those of you who aren’t quite sure yet, make your best attempt.
Everybody else, click through to the sites behind a few of the comments, then come back and reply to the site owner’s statement. Did the site match the give/receive statement? Leave some POSITIVE feedback. I’m putting everyone on notice now that any sarcastic and/or critical comments will be immediately deleted. Court and I have very thick skins; you can feel free to call us morons all day long. We’re not in the business of setting other people up for that same treatment though, so if you can’t say something nice…
I hope a few of you who are just getting started will put yourselves out there. This is a chance to have a very clarifying moment in establishing the direction of your site.

This book contains the methods used by hundreds of my students and readers to create an excellent low-maintenance income online...and it will for your too - if you'll just download it and put it to work.Related Posts:

I show my visitors what can be done with animation software and in return I get affiliate software purchases and requests to publish articles for commission.
September 17th, 2008 at 6:42 pm
Great looking site, Will.
I notice your html title is “Watch Cartoons”. Is that your goal keyword with your SEO efforts? I see your homepage has a PR 4, so you have potential to rank well for quite a few animation related terms. Any plans or goals for your search traffic?
September 18th, 2008 at 10:43 am
Thank you for visiting! “Watch cartoons” is my target keyword for the homepage, but I target more valuable terms with interior pages. I use the decent PageRank from the homepage to boost those interior pages by linking to them intelligently.
For example one interior page is currently #1 in Google for the the term “cartoon software”, and I’m working on others.
Fortunately I’ve been able to identify the worthy terms and am working on articles that can target those keywords.

To earn some serious money online, try visiting my blog. It contains tips and tricks on how to earn online.
September 17th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
This was an awesome article; especially considering I’m not 100% sure of the answer. There are many answers which probably means I like a true direction for my sites just now. Some answers are personal (I give people maps they want and in return hope for donations) and some are more altruistic (I give people maps they want in return I feel good people are using my product).
Great post all around.
September 17th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
Hello Dan. Glad you liked the article. You mention hoping to get donations. Do you mean you’d help people out and they’d donate money to you in return?
I’m wondering…what other gps related products/services could you put in front of your visitors that would turn into a more steady stream of income for you?
And I’m going to ask you the same question I asked Will - what’s your search engine plan?
September 26th, 2008 at 9:12 am
I never thought people ever donated but I have since seen that people will donate for useful products and the maps I develop and release on my site have yielded donations. I think the best way for a more consistent stream of income is to review a few things that I can use affiliate links to. That way it will still seem like I haven’t laid on the advertising and thus people will still be inclined to donate but I can also have another stream of income.
I don’t really have a search engine plan mainly because I don’t know enough SEO. I made sure my articles use the titles in the url but other than that I don’t really have any plans. I try to make sure popular GPS blogs link to my new stuff which seems to help me get indexed in google quite quickly.
September 17th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
Wow, I have never really thought about my site in this way. I bet getting clear on this point really will have an impact on my site, and my business.
On the front end:
I give my readers tools to develop an internet marketing strategy that works and I get affiliate commissions in return.
In the background:
I give readers information on specific topics and I get adsense clicks in return.

September 19th, 2008 at 8:36 am
Hi Jackie,
Loved your internet marketing rant post on your home page. I’m also glad to see you’re offering a free email course to people in exchange for their name and email address. That’s a great way to offer value and start building a relationship.
September 17th, 2008 at 11:32 pm
I think this is an excellent post.
And even more of an excellent exercise.
I think if you can’t sum it up filling in the blanks, you’ve got nothing really.
So, here goes mine for the blog I linked to in this comment . . .
I give my readers tips on blog-related issues and I get to build my reputation as a knowledgeable person on the subject in return.
Open to all critics. Bring it.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:37 am
My only question would be….Why will it matter when you achieve your expertise? Do you plan to monetize that expertise?
September 23rd, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Precisely.
I plan on monetizing that expertise and making money from the blog I linked to in the previous comment indirectly.
Thanks for the feedback.
Any more?
September 18th, 2008 at 5:50 am
I like this post and never thought of it that way. Okay, maybe subconsciously.
I give a way for movie fans to see free movies legally and in return I get a little money and the satisfaction that they will make money too in return by following my method.
Steve
September 19th, 2008 at 8:40 am
Solid sales page Steve. And a very interesting concept.
September 18th, 2008 at 6:07 am
Hi,
thanks for this. I am presenting my visitors fotos from my hiking-trips in the (mostly bavarian :o) alps, hoping that usability and internal linkbuilding is done ok. As a return I receive new visitors, and gain experience in SEO.
thx in advance for comments,
constantin
September 19th, 2008 at 8:40 am
Hi Constantin -
So are you building the site just for experience, or do you have plans to earn money with it?
September 21st, 2008 at 4:26 am
Hi Mark,
yes, mainly, If you are speaking of goals. If you are speaking of motives, however, its a hobby, too. I really would like to establish on of those social-things. But then I would have to add lots of the respective features, which for me is a little bit too heavy to develop it myself. Although I put much effort into categorizing and SEOing, what really prevents the monetization is that most (if not all) of my keywords have no adsense ads in google at all.
September 21st, 2008 at 4:37 am
Hi Mark,
uhm, clicked to fast on send-button. I have to add two points: I just started the site four weeks ago, and do not have very much traffic yet. If this changes, I will offer hiking maps via amazon affiliate-ads. What do you think about that and my SEO, that is, if I might ask you and your readers such questions?
September 18th, 2008 at 7:20 am
The keys point “give and take”, so everybody will be happy……
September 18th, 2008 at 7:34 am
Hey all, I give consolidated information on indoor tanning lotions and in return receive adsense clicks. However, the tanning niche does not have high-paying ads, so I’m nowhere near rich =)
But thanks to tactics I learned on this blog I did reach #2 for my target keyword
September 19th, 2008 at 8:42 am
Just do the same thing 20 or 30 more times and you’re going to have something there Steve!
September 18th, 2008 at 8:21 am
At my political humor site, I entertain people and in return I get personal satisfaction. Of course, it seems to me that as the site continues to grow, I would be giving more than I receive. I can only get so much personal satisfaction, and then the cup is full. So there should be a way to compensate for that differential.
Now that the site is becoming an authority site, it should be passing that tipping point. Somehow, I will receive a greater amount of value in return. Could that be monetary? I don’t know, but I do know that it will enrich my life.
PS, great news for me. Google Radioactive Liberty, and notice the sitelinks!
September 18th, 2008 at 8:24 am
Oh, I just wanted to point out that I have a number of other sites, and this does give me something to think about as far as what my purpose for those should be. Thanks for the good discussion, Mark.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:43 am
Thanks Mike! Always good to hear from you.
September 18th, 2008 at 8:46 am
What a cool question… Though very simple, I had truly never thought about it like that before.
My basic answer is “I give my users ‘computer support’ and I get ‘money and referrals’ in return.” But maybe my answer should be more specific in regards to what I offer. maybe something such as “I give my users ‘Great Computer Support At A Fair Price’ and I get ‘Referrals’ in return.”
I guess figuring out what sets me apart from the competition would be a good place to start.
Thanks Mark!
Tim
September 19th, 2008 at 8:45 am
Hey Tim,
Thanks for getting involved. One thing I’d love to see on your homepage is more of a headline. People feel cheesy doing it, but if you slap a powerful value statement front and center for every visitor to see you’re likely to convert more of them to customers.
Head over to copyblogger and search “headlines.” Tons of good material there.
September 23rd, 2008 at 8:24 pm
Thanks Mark! I’m on it. I want to do this more with my blog than with my website but I should probably do it there too. I’ll have to see what I can do.
September 18th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
Great post Mark,
Let’s see, I provide my visitors with:
1. Helpful guides about laptops and other related topics such as viruses and free virus software
2. My BANS site provides eBay laptop/accessories auctions presented in a user friendly storefront, without the business and confusion of eBay, this, as well as, my unique and original content separates me from eBay and provides a better experience for those shoppers specifically looking for laptops.
In return, this site, as well as my others provide me with:
Money when visitors buy those products. That money brings me the unequal satisfaction of working for myself from home, the satisfying feeling of owning a successful business, and the great feeling of both personal and professional satisfaction and success as this and other sites, grow, gain traffic and make money as a result of my hard work and efforts.
Thank you!
JR

Shoot sorry had to recomment to subscribe to comments, forgot the first time.
September 18th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
Excellent article.
I give my users a tax refund services and I get cash in return.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:46 am
And they get cash in return, too. Talk about a win-win.
September 18th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
still have to establish my blog yet. current ideas flowing in my head involve providing my readers with latest soccer info and maybe some nice soccer vids too.
others ideas were info about TBI but that might be a bit too complex for my knowledge.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:48 am
Mo,
We talked months ago about your desire to make money online. You still haven’t started?? Get moving man….less analysis, more action!
September 18th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Great post - and a question I’ve been struggling with on the back-end.
I give my readers low cost solutions for anti-aging - healthy and vibrant living well into “old age”. In exchange, I make some money from affiliate sales, but mostly it’s satisfaction knowing that I’m spreading the word for healthy living.
GiGi
September 19th, 2008 at 8:50 am
Now that is a clear “give/get” statement. Let me ask you this…
If you started making a lot more money sharing the solutions, would that mean you were helping a lot more people? Which would mean you’d get a lot more satisfaction?
How can you scale up your business?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:59 am
I’m thinking “increased traffic” - (I think I know how to do this) and better monetization - that one is tougher.
Thanks for your comment!
September 18th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
I live under a rock. I’ve been making web sites for 14 years but know nothing about marketing, this is a whole new world for me. Great site.
I’d “like” to give web design and development tips and tutorials (for beginners?) >> get affiliate $, etc… I have several sites but just not sure what to put where!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Glad to have you here Chip. Have you done much keyword research on “html tutorials”, etc? I think there might be a lot of traffic there where your skills could become profitable for you.
September 18th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
Good post Mark,
I give my users a place to get adoption advice, information and encouragement in a supportive environment and I get to give back to the adoption community in return.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:53 am
As an adoptive parent myself, I can tell you that “information and encouragement” is what first-timers need the most.
September 18th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
Great post. I’ve never thought about my blog this way.
Here’s my tagline:
I give my users information on, and insights from, real writers, and I get adsense clicks in return.
September 18th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
My blog just barely got a specific focus and so this message was timely.
I give my readers access to great business and personal development training from people like Brian Tracy, Mark Victor Hansen, Bob Proctor, etc and I make a small monthly commission from their membership fee every month.
September 18th, 2008 at 11:56 pm
hmm…this is a interesting concept. I have not put sufficient thought into this but perhaps thinking along this line-of-thought to create value for my readers will start to bring in greater traffic, even though i am targeting search engine traffic..so my attempt at my value proposition is ” I give my users inspiration and ideas for wealth accumulation and attraction and I get SE traffic and adsense clicks in return”
September 19th, 2008 at 9:22 am
I give my readers tips on learning to drive and passing the driving test, in return I get money from adsense, am starting to become an authority website and get personal referrals who take lessons with me.
I’ve started to think about targetting driving instructors on marketing their business, so that might be the next step for me.
September 19th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
I provide golf putter news and reviews and receive money in return when people buy their putters through my links.
Loved the post, made me think about how I can make my message stand out more to my readers. Thanks!
September 19th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
I strive to create unique articles for my readers no matter what blog I’m working on at the time. I’ve never believed in using PLR articles as they don’t help you connect with your readers and provide even very little benefit for the search engines.
September 21st, 2008 at 10:52 am
That is a great article and to be honest one that I don’t think I have addressed very well - my aim was to build a blog that would bring to people’s attention things that I have seen and would love myself - some of them I am actually selling the product, some through affiiate links. So I guess my answer would be
“I give my users ideas for all sorts of gifts and I get affiliate revenue in return”
I was hesitant to post here though - because I am not sure that my blog really provides enough info and is maybe too affiliate focused.
Thanks for a thought provoking post.

Great article and reminder of having a clear vision in mind and better yet, a chance to see if we are on the right path!
“We give our readers a single resource for recipes and tips specifically about grilling and in return we hope they contribute recipes, become part of our community and shop our affiliate products.”
September 25th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
That is true. The best entrepreneurs provide a solution, but it isn’t so easy coming up with a problem. For example; who would have ever thought of cellphones? I mean, can you imagine NOT having a cellphone. What would you do in an emergency or if your car breaks down? These are questions that the inventors of cellphones have created. Very good post and good food for thought:)
September 26th, 2008 at 11:09 am
I give my readers insights into the music business with the primary focus being: creating and running your own rock band.
I recieve commissions from affiliate marketing of the products I discuss, review and recommend.
September 27th, 2008 at 5:13 am
I definitely think that it is necessary to make sure you know why you are blogging; otherwise, what’s the point? While money does influence us to keep going or to start a blog in the first place, it cannot be the only thing that is influencing us because eventually, you’re going to get burnt out and not put as much effort into your blog as you would if you were actually gaining happiness and a sense of satisfaction from it.
September 27th, 2008 at 6:52 am
I’m a new subscriber to your site. Thanks! Filling in those blanks really helped set my mind straight this morning and I do think that it would be a step in the right direction for most. What I want to do with my new blog is give my readers honisty and value. honisty is a constant and always possible. Value is variable and like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. Honisty in itself is value. What I want to get in return is loyalty and a good relationship. Thanks again this is only a comment so I’ll stop now. Larry W
September 27th, 2008 at 10:00 am
Hi there- Ok, I give the people who visit my one-page affiliate site a few links to research that has been done on the type of therapy provided by the product I’m promoting.
In return I’m hoping that they’ll click through to the affiliate, and buy!
I was at number one for my key word, then the ‘honeymoon period’ ended quite abruptly and I’m now on page four. I have 960+ backlinks. If I’d known about the honeymoon period, I probably wouldn’t have bothered to spend the dozens of hours I’ve spent on this and two other sites. I’m losing interest.
September 30th, 2008 at 12:13 am
I am new to making money online. Your blog reassured me that I provide a good service and i should continue my work so first I say THANK YOU. I beleive I give help to people who want or need money and I get money for my wants and needs in return. The program I promote is the only I found that makes me feel good about trying to help others as well as myself. Also I dont think I need SEO because of my program.
October 1st, 2008 at 6:59 pm
Hey Court, I know it won’t matter right now because my blog being so new and small, but i linked back to you on my site. Maybe you can in return just take a look at it, and give me your honest opinion? Thanks bud. Hope to see you keep up the good work.
October 6th, 2008 at 11:30 am
thanks for the information its always a pleasure to know where i am making mistakes….. naw i can answer the question that you have asked
October 6th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
I have never really thought about this before, I have a few sites on my personal blog I give updates on my entreprenurial activities and get traffic to my sites in return.
On my credit crunch website I give information on the credit crunch and personal finance tips in return I get ad revenue.
October 8th, 2008 at 2:30 pm
We actually give something to people and we can get something from them too. It’s a give and take process. And it applies to the business world of course.
October 13th, 2008 at 10:14 pm
Well, I can answer the first part and maybe you can answer the second?
I give out sweepstakes, contests, and blog giveaways for viewers to enter and win prizes. I also promote the same for anyone wanting to send to me.
I get? A few Adsense clicks is about all but I want to create a community of people who are involved with the hobby. I can’t seem to do that and can’t get people to post comments. I guess that is all in time?
What do you think I should be getting back?
I appreciate your site. Thanks for the article.
November 4th, 2008 at 2:56 am
Money definitely does flow to the solution. Your website should be idiot proof - if you’re looking to make the sale, don’t make your customer work, give them what they’re looking for.
