There are so many different short cuts and other tools available to assist you in your needs. Getting to know Google and all their shortcuts can very helpful to assist your business and get things rolling. There are so many different tools that Google uses that you can learn to quicken things. Once you learn one, try to use it over and over and see how effective it can really be.

Use “Or”

A good place to start is with the OR tool. This is a great way to accomplish a few searches at the same time. Sometimes you have to do three or four searches to find things that are somewhat the same. By typing in or in all capital letters between your words and phrases you can do three or four searches all in one. An example would be to type: business blogs OR political blogs OR funny blogs, all in the same line. This will do all the searches at the same time and give you all the results as one.

Link Tool

Another popular tool from the Google Advanced search options is the link tool. If you want to find a list of webpages that have a link to a certain page, you could do it by typing in [link] with the site. An example of this would be to try and find all websites that have a link to your site. You could just type in the Google bar [link:www.yoursite.com] and see what comes up. Remember that these are case sensitive and so you will need to type it the same way it is shown or else you results wonít be accurate.

Related Items Tool

There is another common tool called the related tool. If you are looking for lots of sites that are related to another but, this is a great way to find it. If you want to check out all the competition for your blog, this is a simple way to do it. You can just type in [related:www.yoursite.com] and wait for the results. This will let you check out other peoples blogs or sites that are similar to yours. Keep in mind that this list will constantly be changing and so you can do this search as often as you need to.

One tool that is kind of interesting is the stock tool. This is for the business side in you and is a great way to check the activity on different stocks quickly and easily. By typing in [stocks:] and then a list of the symbols of the stocks you want, Google will shoot you a page with all the recent activity and information about them that you could need. But remember that you need to put in the ticker symbols for each company and not the company name to get your results.

There are a lot more tools than these and you can find a whole list of them at Google’s website. Remember that these types of tools will be able to help you cut out the extra time you have been spending on simple tasks. Just keep using them and try to find all the different ways to you them to your best advantage.
