Staying of top of all the upkeep and details of your blog with the content and advertising can sometimes be a hard task and require a lot of time. But you do want your blog to look nice and be attractive, but at the same time have good advertisements. This can sometimes seem impossible but if you put forth the effort and do your part, you can get the most of your ad space very easily. But keep in mind that it may take a little bit of trial and error on your part.

Finding Hot Spots

Sometimes when you make small and simple changes to where you place your advertisements, it can make a huge difference in your profits, maybe even double your earnings. But these changes should be strategically placed and improve the look of your blog. But try to not take away from the content and still be appealing to your readers and customers.

You want to try and place your ads in the spots where they will be seen the most but not being the main focus of your page. Google Adsense has made a few recommendations for excellent spots for your advertisers. They suggest that you place banners of ads across the top of your page. Or you could also put them in rectangular shapes which won’t take up as much room and won’t be a distraction.

Ads Related To Content

Something else to consider is placing the ads near the content on the page. That way the readers will notice them as they are reading your blog. This makes it easier for words to jump out at them and see other words that are similar to the content. Try to keep it simple. If you have too many advertisers all over your blog, it can be too complicated and will make your readers avoid your page instead of coming back for more.

One thing you might try is to place a part of the content just above the fold of the page. This means that your readers will be looking at your advertisements just as much as the content itself. But if your content is not even viewable until they scroll down, they will probably lose interest quickly. But by placing a small chunk above the fold, this will make them want to read on and scroll down to see more of your content and other advertisements.

On the other hand, if you do not put much of your content above the fold, this will not increase the number of continuous readers that you have, but at the same time, it can increase the responses to the ads. When your blog comes up on the screen, you need to decide whether or not the readers will se a lot of ads to respond to or some great content with less ads.

But by placing those few ads just right, you can increase the clicks and your profit will increase too. It is all up to you how you want to utilize your ad space, but just try and do it in the most effective way possible.
