Whenever we talk about your blog, it should be something that you take pride in and that you might look at and enjoy what all of your efforts have created. But you should also frequently look at your blog and try and find ways to improve it. One detail to pay attention to is whether or not your blog has sufficient images and if they are properly placed on your blog.

Use The Right Image To Convey Your Point

When it comes to blogs, images can be a great addition or setback depending on whether or not they are properly used. A great image can not only add to the page as a whole, but is also something enjoyable for the eyes of your readers to look at while reading. Reading large amounts of text can be strenuous on the eyes, especially when it comes from a computer screen. When you break up the text with a few simple images it can add to the page as a whole.

Now the key to adding images is to add good images. You don’t want to take away from your text but at the same time you don’t want to add just a snapshot that your grandmother took at last year’s holiday party. Make sure that your image is relevant to your text and that it will enhance the article instead of being a distraction.

Where Do I Get Them?

Finding good images should not be a hard task. If you don’t have the funds to hire a graphic designer, you have many other affordable options. There are many sites on the web that are full of great images at a very affordable price. Don’t just go to other sites and steal their images because you like them. Go out and find your own by using resources like iStockPhoto or the stock exchange home page. Resources like these allow you to search through thousands of images to find the right one for your site. And many images are in the range from five to one dollar.

Graphs And Charts

Another option is to create graphs and charts to explain your point. These can help your site look nice while helping readers better understand the text. With a little bit of creativity, graphs and charts help display information in a simple way. Just don’t overdo it by adding too many different charts and graphs of all shapes and sizes. And if you do put a chart or graph on your blog, make sure to label it properly and effectively to help your readers understand it.

Whenever you are adding images to your site they should always try and enhance what is already there. If you are tempted to put some crazy illustrations or flashing graphics, maybe think twice before doing it. There are many great resources available to you so don’t be afraid to take advantage of them. And remember that images can be a great addition to your blog if they are used properly. Just use them wisely and see what kind of reaction you get from your readers.
