Having a blog and keeping it current is a big task and can be very time-consuming and wearying. Wouldnít it be nice to have a little help sometimes? Especially if your blog is a one-man show. So how can you get a little help from others without having to hire an entire staff of bloggers to lend you a hand? Though it may seem impossible, it can be really easy to get people to help your blog out and for free.
Delegate Your Help
If you can divide up your tasks among many different people, this will definitely give you a bit more free time to do the things that you need to and can only improve your blog even more. A lot of people are willing to lend you a hand when you need some help or want to relieve some of your workload. You just need to know where to find them.
One very simple and obvious answer to this is to problem is to just ask for help. You could post an ad on your blog or just flat out ask for help in the different areas you need. If you feel like you donít want to be that forward, try and hint around it and see who responds. If you have a lot of daily readers who like to make comments, they will be the first to notice your plea for help and most likely respond.
Get Topic Ideas From Others
Are you out of creative and exciting posts? You could ask for volunteers for guest bloggers. If you already have a good relationship with some of your frequenters, you could ask one them. If not, then just post that you are looking for guest bloggers and request a few samples of their work. Have you guest blogged on someone elseís page? Ask them to return the favor.
Maybe you donít necessarily want guest bloggers but you are all out of ideas to blog about. Make a request on your page that your readers give you some good ideas for new posts. You could just blatantly ask them what they are interested in hearing about and get some fresh ideas from their responses.
Publicity Is Great
Another great idea is to try and get free publicity. Word of mouth is one of the best advertisements there are. If you can get your readers spreading the word about how great your blog is, that means that you will have even more readers. You could start by maybe dropping hints to the readers that they could share your page with their friends if they really do enjoy it. If they arenít really getting the hint, you could try to persuade a few specific people to publicize on their page for you.
If you are having others help you with your blog you should be more than willing to assist others with theirs. If you currently have no extra time to do it, make sure you let them know that a future date you will be willing to help them out. And stick to your word. Getting free help from others is a great favor that they are doing for. Show a little appreciation and gratitude for what they are doing for you and you may be able to reap more benefits later on.
