One big task to consider when starting your own blog is the importance of good keywords on your blog. Keywords are what search engines are looking at when someone performs a search. It can sometimes be a little complicated for the search engines to figure everything out when it comes to key words and phrases. Luckily though, there are some keyword tools that are available to you to help sort everything out.
Free Keyword Tools
There are many different tools available to you and it just depends on what your needs really are. The first place you may start looking when you first start a blog are the free keyword sites. Keyword Density and Yooter Keyword Suggestion Tool are two different sites that are free. They can help you sort out all different keywords and phrases to get more traffic on your site. SEO Book’s Keyword List Generator is also a free resource that can help you create a list of excellent keywords.
Webmaster Toolkit
Looking for something simple and easy to use? Try Good Keywords or Keyword Research Tool from Webmaster Toolkit. Both of these tools are easy to use and will help you produce great keyword lists, misspelling suggestions and help you analyze other top ranked pages to be able to know what the search engines are looking for specifically.
Paid Keyword Tools
Not satisfied with these resources? There are also different resources with a one-time fee. A few of these include The Permutator and Keywords Analyzer. These programs are like the free ones but they will also help you analyze your competitors blogs. The Dowser and Keyword Elite are two other sites that are similar. Being able to analyze the competition can be a great benefit and may help you in the long run. All of these also only require a one-time payment and then you can use them as often as you’d like.
If you feel like none of these options are right for your blog or site, there are still more options. Many have on-going fees but may help you in different ways than the ones you have previously used. Adgooroo and Keyword Discovery are a few options that will help you find the most precise keyword searches by analyzing all of your competitors and will even include seasonal searches.
Recommended Paid Programs
HitTail and Wordze are also very affordable programs that will not only help you find the right keywords but also can help you manage your different projects and help you create widgets. Some programs have large fees of anywhere from $400 to $600 but both of these programs are $35 a month or less. These are not unreasonable considering the service that you are getting by using them.
So what is the huge difference between the free programs and those that cost? There isn’t much, it just depends on how much you need a keyword search tool. If you are doing fine on your own but need a little boost, one of the free programs will probably work great for you. If you need more than just a boost with your blog, you might consider paying for a program. You can then reap larger benefits in the end.
